The Quincy University Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform its Spring Showcase Concert on Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. at the Connie Niemann Center for Music located at QU’s North Campus (17th and Seminary Rd). The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Christine Damm, D.M.A., dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication, the jazz band will perform a wide array of jazz tunes, including “In the Mood,”Malgueña,” “Think” and “Blooz”. Junior music major Cody Collins will be featured on the trumpet in “Bye, Bye, Blackbird”Vocalist Colby Schulz will be featured in “This Masquerade”.  Senior music major Madison Brueck will be featured in “Easy Does It”.
